Susan Burnstine creates amazing images so to have her select one of my images for the SohoPhoto Krappy Kamera Competition blew me away.
The above image was captured in Central Park on a cold winters day on a holga using a panorama film holder. Check out my lomography page on www.lomography.com for more plastic camera images.

I recently found out that Nonfigureativephoto reviewed the Chemigrams selected for the Soho Photo Gallery Alternative Processes Competition. It’s great to get a review and when its from someone who is an expert in the field its even more rewarding.
Nonfigurativephoto blog is devoted to non-objective photography, especially photography created solely with light and chemicals.
My first solo New York exhibition opened this week at 51st Bakery and Cafe.
The above image ‘Losing it’ was exhibited as part of the 2015 Soho Photo Gallery Alternative Processess Competition. With over 870 images submitted it was an honor to be selected.
The above image is titled The Grid and was one of my images that was selected for the 2015 Soho Photo Gallery Alternative Processes Competition. The Competition was jured by Joni Sternbach, a visiting artist at Cooper Union and a faculty member at both ICP and the Center for Alternative Photography in NYC where she teaches wet plate collodion. I few years ago I had the chance to hear Joni speak at Photoville, such a lovely person and talented artist.
Absolutely trilled that 2 of my Chemigrams were selected for the Soho Photo Gallery Alternative Processes Completion. The juror for the 11th Annual Alternative Processes Competition was Joni Sternbach, a visiting artist at Cooper Union and a faculty member at both the International Center for Photography and the Center for Alternative Photography.

Nabates Isles, Organist (Cocoa Cola Dizzy’s Jazz Club)
If the eyes are a window to the soul then music is a door to the heart.
Images from my series ‘Of Passionate Things’ exhibited on Governors Island (Fri 11 Sept to Sun 13 Sept 2015) as part of the Governors Island annual open house.
During September I was fortunate to be invited by the Museum of Music Project to exhibit as part of their Live and Interactive Music Exhibition on Governors Island. With music photography you want to capture the mood and atmosphere of being there. For this exhibition I wanted to show a personal side. Each image the musician is immersed in the music as if unaware of our presents. I also went big, 20×24 big, emphasizing the commitment and importance of music in life.
